reBlog from Kendra Warren: Usana Health Sciences Review and MyHealthPak Giveaway

I SO totally agree with this:

I really believe that reviews of products are invaluable to a consumer. Especially with all the choices available. In an unregulated market, I think this especially true of supplements. It’s overwhelming to try to choose a product that is what it says it is, and actually be safe! Remember the whole Hydroxycut issue? I knew many people using it because of the promise and the assumption that the product would be fine for them to use. As consumers we should expect safety and honesty. Because supplements are a such a subject of many opinions, you’ll find this a rather lengthy post. I hope you hang in there.Kendra Warren, Usana Health Sciences Review and MyHealthPak Giveaway, Feb 2010

Something I have LUVed for a long time!

Yes - this luv started back when I was a toddler. I can't remember that I luved it then but I am sure that I did. Then in my teenage years I had a rebellion and it turned to HATE! As I grew older it became tolerated as a necessity for cold cereal - YUM - and some cooking but that was it. Then I became enlightened and it turned back into LUV!
You are probably thinking - what's the big deal about milk? Well for some people it isn't a big deal at all. It's just milk. Rick would fall into that category. For others it is EVIL if they are lactose intolerant. I was slightly in this category - I could handle it in small amounts but too much would definitely make my tummy hurt. I tried all sorts of other kinds of milk. I grew accustomed to different flavors and brands of soy milk or almond milk but my cereal just didn't taste the same! Then one beautiful day I found out about the AMAZING benefits of raw milk. Oh how I LUV raw milk! I can drink it - lots of it - and it doesn't make my tummy hurt! And it is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO healthy! (www.raw-milk-facts.com) It also comes with the added bonus of cream - mmmmmm - lots of cream on top! I remember as a kid my mom getting raw milk from a local farmer. It would come in gallon glass bottles and we would carry 2 bottles in a wooden tote box. When we got home we would fight to be the ones to scoop the cream off the top. My mom would use it to make whipped cream for waffles!

Did I mention that it is HARD to find?!

AGHHHHHH! Why should something that has been around for MILLIONS of BILLIONS of years before pasteurized milk was ever created be so difficult to get? There are so many regulations set up by the government that it makes it VERY hard to find and more expensive than it should be. I did finally find some and I LUV it! My cereal is heavenly again! But, I wish I had a cow. I would LUV that - well if Rick would milk it for me!
